Lupercalia

Lupercalia is a folk horror comedy dripping in blood, sweat, and holy water.

 

Inspired by the events of a real pagan fertility festival, Lupercalia takes place in Ancient Rome, at the intersection of 495 AD and 2nd century fashion. We venture between four locations: a Catholic Cathedral, the Lupercal Cave, a dark forest, and a flourishing valley. What more could you need?​

 

Through these landscapes, Cecilia navigates her culture, relationships, and her top three worst nightmares – the father, the son, and the holy spirit.​

 

Lupercalia is a cathartic, chaotic, and cinematic exploration of religion, autonomy, and survival.
