About Ashley Wehrs

ASHLEY WEHRS (that's me!) is a writer, optimist, storyteller, and... administrative assistant at the Savannah College of Art and Design! Fueled by dark comedy, the glimmer of disco balls, and an excessive amount of maraschino cherries, every day is a party designed to create meaningful experiences, stories, and connections.

In my writing and filmmaking, I'm extremely passionate about the intersection of comedy and bright visuals with darker subject matters -- aka, I love to make things that aren’t funny, funny. Religious trauma, death, identity theft, sign me up! I cope through humor, mood stabilizers, and Taylor Swift.

I've written over 45 works, directed one short, produced two short films, and collaborated with commercial clients such as Coca-Cola, Capital One, and Calliope Games. I'm currently finalizing the script of my feature film, "Lupercalia", outlining my next television pilot, "Shit Show", and in post-production on my short film "American Woman" (Written and Directed by Matison LeBlanc and Ashley Wehrs).
